Capital M welcomes your letters, articles, essays, fiction, brickbats, Mensa news items, puzzles, and artwork. We especially encourage whimsy. Be controversial, but criticize ideas, not persons.

Submit only original or copyright-free material, or include appropriate permission from the copyright holder. We will not consider anonymous or pseudonymous contributions; however, an author's name may be withheld (and so indicated) on request. We may publish any signed correspondence addressed to Capital M or the Editor unless otherwise requested. Preference is given to material from members of MWM. Your reward is glory, not filthy lucre.

Contributions may be edited. The Editor will preserve the original meaning and will consult with the author if extensive editing is contemplated. To this end, please include your telephone number when submitting material. Provide a self-addressed envelope with proper postage if you want your material returned.

Capital M is published monthly. Members of MWM receive subscriptions as part of their annual dues. Prospective members may receive a three-month non-renewable subscription by contacting the Membership Officer.

Paid advertising is available only to members of Mensa, at the following rates (subject to change):

An eighth page is 3-5/8" x 2-3/8", including borders. All advertising must be paid in advance to Metropolitan Washington Mensa.

Send all event listings to the Calendar Editor; advertising (classified and display), and other contributions to the Editor at the addresses below. Forward all address changes to American Mensa, Ltd. Please submit in computer-readable form if you can; otherwise typed or legible handwritten copy is a must. We do not take dictation. Contact the Editor for acceptable file formats.

Deadline for all contributions is the first Monday of the month before publication.
